The Institute of Paediatric Virology honours top experts in Paediatrics, Neonatology, Paediatric Infectious Diseases, Microbiology and Clinical Virology for their contribution in the field of Peadiatric Virology. The “Paediatric Virology Awards” are offered annually to medical and basic scientists based on their clinical, research, teaching and academic achievements in the field of paediatric viral infections. Moreover, special awards, such as the “George N. Papanicolaou Humanitarian Award”, are given to scientists with outstanding offer and dedication to medicine, science and humanity. Awarded individuals are proposed by the Paediatric Virology Study Group  (PVSG).
